“Senior Weng?” Yue Ru was stunned. “Greetings, I’m Miss Yue Ru, a disciple of the Tian Luo Sect.”

  Chu Li looked at her.

Yue Ru grinned. “Senior Weng is very famous. It’s an honor to be able to meet you in person.”

Weng Hua cupped her fists. “You’re welcome, Miss Yue Ru.”

Yang Ying spoke, “Master, this is Zhao Dahe, the clan leader of the Holy Church of Light’s Radiance Clan.”

“Oh my, you’re Clan Leader Zhao. Please excuse me.” Weng Hua stared at Chu Li with astonishment.

She did not expect this ugly and mature young man to be the renowned Zhao Dahe.

Everybody in the White Tiger Sect had heard about Zhao Dahe and knew how highly-skilled he was, but most people did not mention his youth. If they brought it up, they would only show how incompetent the White Tiger Sect was, so they instinctively glossed over that part.

Chu Li gave a fist salute in response. “Don’t mention it, Senior Weng. We shall leave now.”

Normally, he would not have acted courteous towards other disciples of the White Tiger Sect, but because of Yang Ying, he was friendly towards Weng Hua.

Weng Hua did not display any animosity either.

She looked at Chu Li and Yue Ru, then back at Yang Ying.

  The teenager pouted.

Following that, Chu Li sat down by a neighboring table and smiled. “I thought you’ve left Gale City, Miss Yang.”

Yang Ying snorted, “I’ll be leaving at once.”

Weng Hua said, “I still have some personal matters to attend to, so I’ll be staying here for a few more days.”

Chu Li laughed. “Without Miss Yang, Gale City will lose its sparkle.”

“My disciple’s mischief has indeed caused a great deal of trouble.” Weng Hua chuckled.

Both of them chatted politely and not a hint of hostility could be detected between them.

Restless, Yang Ying quickly finished her food. After that, she wiped her mouth with a silk handkerchief, got up and gave a fist salute. “I’m leaving now.”

Chu Li fist saluted in return.

Weng Hua then smiled and nodded before she left with Yang Ying.

As they departed, Yue Ru looked at their backs and mused, “Senior Weng is a formidable figure among women and she’s on the same standing as Master.”

Chu Li twitched his brows. “She’s unassuming.”

It was obvious to others that Bai Feng was an extraordinary woman, but Weng Hua was different. She was reserved and discreet. People would have believed if they were told that Weng Hua was unfamiliar with martial arts as she lacked a domineering aura.

Yue Ru sighed in admiration. “Female disciples of the White Tiger Sect are very rare. This is because the sect’s martial arts techniques aren’t fit for women to cultivate. But because Senior Weng’s innate talent is phenomenal, she can become a master. Everybody says that if she were to join other factions, she would have been even more powerful.”

  Chu Li nodded.

Yue Ru smiled. “You treat Miss Yang Ying differently, Master Zhao.”

“She’s an interesting person.” Chu Li laughed.

Yue Ru remarked, “Miss Yang is innocent and adorable, indeed.”

Meanwhile, following some footsteps sound, Lu Xiaofeng marched into the restaurant.

His spirits were high and he was in a good mood.

He was accompanied by two middle-aged protectors who were attentive and scanned their surroundings like eagles on the prowl.

When the three of them arrived on the third floor, everyone lowered their voices and gaze.

Chu Li frowned. He did not expect Lu Xiaofeng to be such an imposing figure. However, the Blazing Sun Clan was, apparently, as oppressive as the Roaring Tiger Clan.

Lu Xiaofeng turned his head and his gaze fell on Chu Li and Yue Ru.

For one moment, his expression darkened before it returned to normal. He headed towards the table and gave a fist salute. “Miss Yue Ru.”

  “Master Lu.” Yue Ru curtsied.

Lu Xiaofeng looked at Chu Li and presented a fake smile as he said, “Clan Leader Zhao, we meet again.”

“Clan Leader Lu, please have a seat.” Chu Li smiled.

Lu Xiaofeng asked, “I’m not bothering the both of you, am I?”

Yue Ru glared at him with knitted brows.

Chu Li replied, “If Miss Yue Ru doesn’t mind, I’m fine with it. Your cultivation level has improved, Master Lu, and this is something to be celebrated.”

“No matter how far I progress, I’m still not as good as you, Clan Leader Zhao,” Lu Xiaofeng replied.

He sat down on the seat between them, but he was a bit nearer to Yue Ru. This made it seem like two people were facing off against Chu Li and it was obvious that Lu Xiaofeng was trying to taunt him.

Chu Li looked at him calmly. “Did you manage to track down the Church of the Bloody Garment, Clan Leader Lu?”

“It seems that they’ve vanished into thin air.” Lu Xiaofeng frowned. “Miss Yue Ru, you and your people at Phoenix Goddess Brothel must be careful. They’ll certainly look for all of you and they must be planning an ambush since they behave so mysteriously.”

  Yue Ru nodded gently.

Lu Xiaofeng said, “When the ten disciples of the Church of the Bloody Garment ambushed all of you the last time, how was the damage?”

Yue Ru replied wanly, “It was fine, no one died.”

In fact, she was angry, but she suppressed her rage with all her might. As a result, her expression was deadpan.

  Lu Xiaofeng commented, “That’s great.”

Chu Li held his cup and took a sip. He had no intention of partaking in the conversation.

Lu Xiaofeng enquired again, “Has the master from the Tian Luo Sect arrived yet?”

  Yue Ru shook her head.

At once, Lu Xiaofeng furrowed his brows. “What’s up with the Tian Luo Sect? What’s the hold-up?”

Yue Ru answered, “It’s alright, we can handle it.”

“Are you sure?” Lu Xiaofeng stared at her in disbelief.

If they could handle the situation, they would not have sought Bai Feng’s assistance.

Yue Ru spoke, “This time, the disciples of the Church of the Bloody Garment aren’t as powerful as last time.”

“The legacy of the Church has probably been broken and the disciples are unable to cultivate the highest level.” Lu Xiaofeng gasped.

“Might be.” Yue Ru stole a glance at Chu Li.

They had discussed this before — they would not mention the formation to other people.

“Bang!” All of a sudden, a loud bang resounded across the restaurant and a silhouette charged towards Lu Xiaofeng.

This person was exceptionally fast as he rushed in front of Lu Xiaofeng before the two middle-aged protectors could react.

He was a middle-aged man with bloodshot eyes and a face with the color of a red date. He directed a slap towards Lu Xiaofeng, in which his palms looked like they have been brushed with fresh blood.

Lu Xiaofeng scoffed and attempted a counter-attack.

“No!” Yue Ru tugged at Lu Xiaofeng’s sleeve forcefully.

Chu Li raised his fist, sending the middle-aged man flying as if the latter got hit by a stampede.

He clutched at his throat as he hit the window and tumbled out of the restaurant.

Lu Xiaofeng frowned and asked sternly, “Who is he?”

The two middle-aged protectors stood by him and brandished their long blades, scanning the area warily.

Yue Ru looked at Chu Li. “A disciple of the Chuch of the Bloody Garment!”

Chu Li nodded. “Looks like they have arrived.”

Lu Xiaofeng scoffed. “Why would they ambush me? No doubt, the disciples of the Church are enigmatic!”

He shuddered as he recalled the earlier incident.

Bloody Garment Divine Power! If Yue Ru had not pulled him back, his right palm would have come into direct contact with that man’s palm and by now, his blood would have been drained. He would have ended up as a dried corpse. Not to mention that Zhao Dahe saved him too.

That, he was a bit annoyed.

Yue Ru warned, “Don’t ever make physical contact with their palms. Bloody Garment Divine Power is extremely deadly and mysterious.”

“There won’t be a next time!” Lu Xiaofeng snorted.

“Bang!” A loud sound boomed and a figure appeared at the window. It was the same middle-aged man from before.

There was a thin line of blood on his throat, but his wounds were mostly healed. He glared at Chu Li fiercely, then proceeded to charge towards him.

Chu Li shook his head and raised his fist again.

“Bang!” The middle-aged man flew out of the window once more.

Chu Li waved his arm one more time and a middle-aged man in the crowd was sent flying.

Next, he swung both arms and sent another two men flying up in the air before they crashed into the window.

Lu Xiaofeng’s eyes were wide with shock. He did not notice those people among the crowd.

Yue Ru jumped in fright. The four middle-aged men were stronger and mightier than the ten previous men.

She took out a flute and blew it.

“Toot…” The flute wailed in melancholy and the hearts of the people around her began to palpitate.

Chu Li said, “Clan Leader Lu, protect Miss Yue Ru. I’ll go have a look!”

After that, he leaped out of the window.

Without warning, a young man rushed towards Yue Ru. He was particularly fast and his face and eyes were red too. When he arrived right in front of Yue Ru, he gave a slap and his palm was smeared with bright, fresh blood.
